Fellowship in Diabetic Foot Management (FDFM)

India is the ‘Diabetes Capital of the World’ with 50.9 million people affected by diabetes and estimated to increase to about 80 million by 2025. Diabetic foot is a serious complication, with 19% - 25% of the diabetic population affected by Diabetic Foot Conditions.

Diabetic Foot Care or Podiatry is in a very incipient stage in our country but diabetic foot complications are increasing at an alarming pace. About 100 thousand lower limb amputations are conducted among diabetic patients in India per year.

It should be the utmost endeavor of every physician dealing with diabetic care to give comprehensive diabetic foot care to the patients so that we can reduce the vast number of amputations.

FDFM is world’s only mentor led, blended learning program in podiatry. It includes online video modules, MCQ and descriptive assessments along with in-person workshop.

The course covers diabetic wound management, VAC therapy, Ultrasonic debridement, special workshop on Stem cell in Diabetic wounds, Gait analysis, Orthotics, Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy and PRP techniques and many more. On completion of course, candidates shall be awarded a completion certificate during the IPA convocation ceremony.

Primary Audience:

This course is intended to enhance the clinical skills of every physician dealing with diabetic foot care. This course is meant for Physicians, General Practitioners, Post- graduates and House Surgeons.

The course is developed with new age learning technologies, keeping all aspects of learning in mind and delivered in partnership with Mediknit, a leading professional medical education organization.

Eligibility Criteria

EVALUATION

  • MBBS/MD/MS practicing physicians should produce valid medical council registration certificate.
  • MBBS House Surgeons should produce a valid provisional degree certificate.
  • All candidates to provide at least 2 professional references

  • 50,000/- Online Fellowship Fees (within 10 days of shortlist announcement)
  • 10,000/- Workshop Fees (3 months prior to selected workshop dates)
  • 15,000/- Fellowship Certificate & Convocation Fees (3 months prior to Convocation dates)

*GST and other applicable taxes extra. Conversion and bank charges for international payments will be additional.

*At no instance the registration fees of Rs.10,000 shall be refunded, if the applicant is either disqualified or fails to take up or complete the course. On short listing the names if the applicant chooses not to take up the course, he shall inform not later than 10 days from the date of short list announcement.

*Course fees either in part or in full shall not be refunded if the applicant fails to complete the course or attend the convocation.

*All expenses during the travel & lodging during of workshop, convocation or any course related travels is not part of the course fees and shall be borne completely by the registered learner.
